This Privacy Policy explains how FateWise (“FateWise,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, processes, shares, stores, and protects user information.

FateWise provides fortune readings, zodiac/tarot-related content, palm reading, Ask AI fortune Q&A, personalized content generation, and related entertainment features. AI readings, fortune content, palm reading, zodiac/tarot content, and related suggestions in the App are provided for entertainment, self-reflection, and general informational purposes only. They are not medical, legal, financial, investment, psychological, religious, or other professional advice. Users should not make important decisions based solely on App content.

Sign-in is optional. Users can use the App as a guest or sign in using the available sign-in methods provided in the App. Account syncing, saved history, account security, and account deletion requests require account support.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide App features, maintain the service, improve the experience, perform analytics and attribution, protect safety, and comply with legal requirements.

1.1 Information Users Provide

When users use FateWise, users provide the following information based on the features they use:

FateWise’s palm reading feature only processes hand images that users actively choose, take, or upload. The App does not require users to upload face photos, does not provide face recognition, and does not collect face data for palm reading.

We collect this information to provide personalized fortune content, Ask AI fortune Q&A, palm reading, history, saved content, account management, customer support, and user request handling.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When users use FateWise, we collect the following information through the App, operating systems, and service providers:

On iOS, when the App uses the advertising ID or performs tracking that requires authorization under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, the App requests user authorization through the system prompt. If the user does not grant authorization, we do not use the IDFA for tracking.

On Android, the advertising ID is handled according to Google Play and Android system settings. Users can reset, delete, or limit the advertising ID in device settings.

3. AI Data Processing

FateWise uses OpenAI and OpenRouter to provide AI-related features, including Ask AI fortune Q&A, fortune-related AI readings, palm reading, and other AI content generation features related to App functionality.

When users use AI features, the App displays an AI Data Processing Notice inside the related feature. Users can choose whether to agree. Users who do not agree should not use the related AI features.

Ask AI only answers questions related to fortune readings. If users submit questions that are not related to fortune readings, the App does not provide an answer or asks users to enter a fortune-related question.

OpenAI and OpenRouter process the information needed to complete AI features to understand user requests, generate AI responses, generate fortune or palm reading results, and return the corresponding content.

FateWise does not collect face photos, face features, face recognition data, or face-related biometric data for palm reading.

Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment card information, passwords, medical records, precise home addresses, private information about other people, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information in AI features.

AI-generated content is created by models based on the input provided. AI content can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a specific situation. FateWise AI content is for entertainment, self-reflection, and general informational purposes only.

4. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent personal information. We do not display third-party advertisements. We share information only as needed to provide App features, maintain the service, perform analytics and attribution, protect safety, process user requests, and comply with legal requirements.

4.1 AI Service Providers

OpenAI and OpenRouter are used to provide Ask AI fortune Q&A, fortune-related AI readings, palm reading, and related AI content generation features.

OpenAI and OpenRouter process user-submitted questions, prompts, chat context, fortune content, profile context, hand images selected by users, and other information needed to complete AI features.

4.2 Analytics and Diagnostics Service Provider

We use Firebase for product analytics, crash diagnostics, performance monitoring, App event measurement, and product improvement.

Firebase processes device information, App version, operating system version, App instance ID, usage events, crash logs, performance data, and error logs.

4.3 Install Attribution Service Provider

We use Tenjin for install attribution, channel analysis, marketing campaign performance measurement, and anti-fraud detection.

Tenjin processes installation events, device information, advertising ID, attribution identifiers, App events, and channel source information.

Tenjin is not used to display third-party advertisements in FateWise. Tenjin processes advertising IDs or attribution identifiers to identify install sources, measure channel performance, prevent fake installs, and improve marketing quality.

4.4 Sign-In Service Providers

When users choose to sign in using the available sign-in methods provided in the App, the related sign-in providers process account identifiers, authorization credentials, email address, nickname, profile photo, or other account information returned by the platform. We use this information for sign-in, account identification, account security, and account deletion request handling.

FateWise accesses permission-based information only when users use the related feature and grant permission. Users can choose whether to grant permission. After granting permission, users can turn the permission on or off at any time in device system settings.

5.1 Camera Permission

When users use palm reading or another feature that requires taking a photo, the App requests camera permission. After users grant permission, the App accesses the camera and captures only the hand image that users choose to submit.

The App does not access the camera without user permission.

The App does not take photos in the background.

The App does not collect face data through the camera.

Users can turn camera permission on or off in device system settings. After users turn off camera permission, features that depend on taking photos stop working. Features that do not depend on the camera remain available.

5.2 Photo Library Permission

When users choose to upload a hand image from the photo library, the App requests photo library permission or system photo picker access. After users grant permission, the App accesses only the image that users explicitly choose to submit.

The App does not scan the entire photo library.

The App does not read photos that users do not choose to submit.

The App does not access the photo library without user permission.

Users can turn photo library permission on or off in device system settings. After users turn off photo library permission, features that depend on photo uploads stop working. Features that do not depend on the photo library remain available.

Network access is used to load content, process AI requests, sign in, sync data, perform analytics, diagnose crashes, measure install attribution, and protect service security.

On iOS, network access is managed by the system and the App runtime environment. It usually does not show a separate network permission prompt. Users can manage network access through cellular data, Wi-Fi, or related system settings.

On Android, internet access is a normal system permission and usually does not show a separate runtime permission prompt. Users can manage network access through network, data usage, or related system settings.

5.4 Advertising ID and Tracking Authorization

The App does not display third-party advertisements, but it uses advertising IDs or attribution identifiers for install attribution, channel performance analysis, marketing measurement, and anti-fraud detection when platform rules allow it and the required authorization has been obtained.

On iOS, the App requests tracking authorization through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency system prompt when required. If the user does not grant authorization, we do not use the IDFA for tracking.

On Android, the advertising ID is handled according to Google Play and Android system settings. Users can manage the advertising ID and personalized ad settings in device settings.

We retain personal information only for the period necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business needs.

After we receive a verifiable deletion request, we review and process the request within 30 days. After account deletion is completed, users will no longer have access to the deleted account, account-related records, saved content, history, palm reading records, or personalization profile.
